Meet The Team

The staff here in “Just Kids” are highly qualified, motivated and committed to providing a high quality childcare service.

We have recently completed a Siolta quality assurance programme with Early Childhood Ireland, and we are currently awaiting accreditation. Through completing this Siolta quality assurance programme we have improved and reassessed all areas of practice within our setting.

We have 13 members of staff in total.

Owner- Manager Yvonne Carr

Yvonne opened the doors of “Just Kids” Creche and Montessori school in August 2002, Yvonne is a qualified Childcare worker and Montessori teacher, and she has been working in childcare for the past 16 years,

Yvonne has attained certificates in the following:

Louise Mc Allister

Louise is a qualified Childcare worker and holds Fetac level 5 in childcare. She is currently completing her FETAC major award level 6 in Childcare. Louise has 12 years experience in the childcare industry.

Louise had attained certificates in the following:

  • Diploma in Childcare VETAC Level 2 Fetac 5
  • First aid
  • Manual Handling.
  • Child Protection training
  • HASSAP Food hygiene
  • Buntas training
  • Aistear and Siolta training

Louise has worked in “Just Kids” crèche since October 2003.

Ruth Murphy

Ruth is a qualified Childcare worker and holds Fetac level 5 in Childcare, Fetac level 6 in Childcare and Montessori and level 7 Diploma in early childhood studies and practice, Ruth is currently studying her Fetac level 8 degree in early childhood studies.

Ruth has attained the following certificates:

  • Fetac level 5 in Childcare
  • Fetac level 6 in Childcare & Montessori
  • Fetac level 7 Diploma in early childhood studies & Practice
  • Currently studying Level 8 Degree in early childhood studies.

Ruth has been working in the childcare sector for over 10 years, and has recently rejoined our team here in “Just Kids”.

Emma Kavanagh

Montessori Room

Emma is a qualified Childcare worker and holds Fetac level 5, Emma is also a qualified Montessori teacher, and is also currently completing her Fetac major award level 6 in Childcare. Emma has 10 years experience working in the childcare industry

Emma has attained the following certificates:

  • Diploma in Montessori teaching with AMS
  • Certificate in Childcare FETAC Level 2 Fetac level 5
  • First Aid
  • Manual Handling Training

  • Aistear and Siolta training
  • Gymboree instructor

Previously worked in Kids Ink, Dublin. Emma has worked here in Just Kids since 2006.

Norma Reilly

Norma is a qualified childcare worker and Montessori teacher, and holds Fetac level 5 in Childcare. Norma is currently completing her Fetac major award level 6 in childcare.

Norma has over experience in Childcare and has been working here in “Just Kids” since 2007.

Noella Walshe

Noella is a qualified childcare worker and holds Fetac level 5 in childcare. Noella has over 16 years experience in childcare, and has worked here in “Just Kids” since 2007.

Noella Previously worked in Little Rascals Creche in Tullyallen; she also worked in Rainbow cottage crèche and The Secret Garden crèche.

Helen Govern

Helen is a qualified childcare worker and Montessori teacher, and holds Fetac level 5 in childcare. Helen is currently completing her Fetac major award level 6 in childcare.

Mairead Toomey

Montessori Room

Mairead is a qualified childcare worker and Montessori teacher, and holds Fetac level 5 in childcare. Mairead is currently completing her Fetac major award level 6 in childcare.

Mairead has been working here since we opened in August 2002, previously she worked in Trinity Tots in Dublin and Puddle ducks in Portrane.

Jill Back - Herke

Jill is a qualified Special need assistant, and is currently completing Fetac level 5 in childcare.

Shirley Coleman

Shirley is a qualified childcare worker and holds Fetac level 5 in childcare. Shirley is currently completing her Fetac major award in childcare level 6.

Shirley has 8 years experience in childcare and has been working here in “Just Kids” since 2006.

Cathy Mc Cleanaghan

Cathy is a qualified Special needs assistant, and she is currently completing her Fetac level 5 in childcare. Cathy has over

Cathy previously worked with children in Marymount School in a special needs unit, Cathy also worked on a one to one basis with a number of children in varying childcare facilities such as Peter Pan Creche, Absolute Angels and Dawn crèche at that time she was employed by Irish Home Care.

Cathy has been working in “Just Kids” since 2008.

Carole Hodgins

Carol is a qualified childcare professional, Carol has worked here in “Just kids” since 2011.

Catherine Norris
