As part of our after school club we currently do walking collections from St. Bridget’s, St. Patrick’s, St Josephs and Scoil Songhua Irish School at all collection times. We also welcome children who are dropped in, or arrive on the bus from other schools in Drogheda and the surrounding areas. We also do walking drop offs to St. Bridget’s, St. Patrick’s, St Josephs and the Scoil Songhua Irish school in the mornings at an added cost.
On arrival to the crèche the children are greeted and asked about their day. They then change there clothes if a change of clothes are provided and get settled for their dinner. There is a variety of home cooked dinners made freshly each day (please see sample menu included). After dinner is finished the after school leaders assist the children with their written homework, we recommend that reading and spelling be done at home as the noise levels can make it quite distracting for the children to concentrate.
Here in “Just Kids”, we feel that the children have enough structure at school and so are then free to choose from our wide variety activities these include:
- Board games, card games and memory games
- Story boxes, dices and puppets
- Nintendo Wii and DS
- Outdoor play
- Aqua beads and ironing beads
- Knitting, sewing, beading etc
- Arts and craft activities
- Construction- Lego, blocks, clicks etc
- Textured play- sand, play dough etc
- Role play- put on concerts, shows, acts etc
- We have a variety of toys such as Moshi Monsters, Barbie’s, action figures etc
- We also have cushions and a fat boy if they just want to chill out and have quiet time or to read or watch a DVD
Please feel free to send in any of their favourite toys, books or games that they enjoy. We would also be delighted to hear any suggestions you may have that can make our after school care or room better.

Prices for use of the crèche from 7:45 am, including breakfast and drop off to school is an additional €15 per week.
We are also able to take our After School children when they have school holidays and training days etc, once we have been given notice by the parents and we have places available.
We are open and operate After School summer camp for all of July and August. Full details of summer camp are generally given out in April.
After School care does not have to be paid for over Easter, Halloween and summer once we have received written confirmation from parents stating it is not required at least 2 weeks in advance.
However all bank holidays, holidays taken within school term and other term days must be paid for in full every week.
